Did you know that Ellijay is the Apple Capital of
Georgia? There are more than 25 varieties grown here, with the season running
from early August to early December. The Ellijay Apple Festival is held 2nd and 3rd weekend every October and is Ellijay's biggest event and draws crowds from all
over.
Blue Ridge is known as the gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains. The
quaint town offers great restaurants, unique shopping and the Blue Ridge Scenic
Railroad. Blue Ridge also hosts spring, fall and holiday art festivals. Lake
Blue Ridge also hosts 4th of July fireworks each year, which you can watch from
your boat right on the lake.
